How to start a Startup

If you are reading this may be you are not able to sleep properly thinking you are not doing enough for your life.

Many start-ups come up every day and the most common thing amongst them is failure, yes FAILURE. At times they wont even reach the market before  they fail.

In this post I will tell you how to start a start-up that can sustain for long time.

Find your area of interest – First and the most necessary thing is an idea to start. if you don’t have an idea, first think of areas you love to work in, then find the missing part that you can fill up with your innovative idea. This works always. No matter how better the world is there is always a loop hole and you just have find the best one.

Chase idea NOT MONEY –  DO NOT chase money, chase your idea and money will chase you. Many start-ups fail because they start for money. Their plan starts with we will invest $5 and will convert them into 20 in reality they end up converting them in to 0$. If you know the area you love to work and know it thoroughly, you will save a lot of money and time and that will increase productivity. Be ready to do anything required to keep the thing going.

Work more over the product than the plan – do not spend most of the time on plan eventually everything changes. What you initially plan will change for sure. Start working on the product as you proceed you will get more ideas and your plans will change accordingly. Create a plane that can fly first, do not think of crossing English channel until you have finished first trial run.

Dont create something which is already created – uniqueness is the USP.  this can be debated further because many people think providing a better product will replace the old one from the market, but I feel until you have enough funds to combat an already setup product you must wait for the correct time.

Feedback at every stage – demo your product to people at every stage create video share and ask for feedback. Every feedback is important, think enough before you discard it.

Stop, look around and move – do not just create plan and move blindly always, periodically stop thinking about the product take a break and come back with fresh mind.

Enjoy the failure – Failure is far better than victory. Start-ups never win they all fail, over and over again, you just have to continue moving with failure. Every failure is a new idea and success is nothing but a bunch of failures. Think about it, what you are failing at was never even tried by anyone. Feel proud for failures as you do for success.

That’s all from me, write your stories in comments so that other people can learn from them.

Best of luck, stop reading start working!!!

  1. Thanks for following my blog! I could use your advice. The members of my critique group, several of whom are published and several about to be, plan to continue as we have as indies but we would like our own “publishing company” – an imprimatur for our group. Can you give me any advice on how we might go about doing this?

    1. Thanks for your feedback. My advice to you would be “Just start it now”. I went through your published content, what i can see is that you have everything with you, all you need to do is put them together in form of a company. You must start now to have everything in place in next 6 months. Just plan for a target, as in where do you want to see your company in next 6 months it will give you a push. Any yes… don’t sleep stay awake and dream about great things you will do after your company starts making money.

You can also count me in for any help or suggestions.
